16 Nov The definition of soul loss
The soul may detach from the body and wander while we are dreaming or sleeping and even if awake. This phenomenon is known in the spiritual world as an “out of body experience” and is considered normal when the soul returns to the physical body. But problems only occur when for some reason, the soul cannot find its way back into the body or chooses not to return to it; if this happens, there is soul loss.
Soul loss may also be caused by a ghost attempting to draw the soul away from a person for its own reasons. It may be due to witchcraft or evil spirits attempting to take dominion over the person’s body for manipulative purposes. Most soul loss cases occur when one sustains a painful physical injury to the body or experiences a life threatening event and the person’s soul leaves the body as a result.
When the soul permanently leaves the body, it usually heads to the land of the dead; the closer it gets, the weaker the body it left becomes. Eventually, if nothing is done for the return of the soul, the person dies.
